Plan it.
PRE-CARE:
1. Gently exfoliate your body before the treatment to remove any dead skin cells.
2. Moisturize your skin to prepare for the treatment.
3. Shave the treatment areas beforehand, if needed.
4. Avoid laser treatments for at least 30 days before your appointment.
5. No tanning for 30 days before your appointment. If you’ve had a sunburn, wait at least 45 days.
6. Avoid blood thinners for 3 days prior to your appointment.
7. Wear loose clothing on the day of your appointment, as the treated area may be slightly tender.
8. Eat before your appointment and stay hydrated. Limit caffeine intake.
9. Plan ahead—no working out for 5 days after your treatment.
10. No showering for 24 hours post-treatment, so be sure to shower beforehand.
11. Taking collagen supplements during and after treatment is highly recommended. We will discuss brands and options.
12. Face clients: Avoid retinoids, retinol, and exfoliation for one week before treatment.
13. Avoid alcohol and smoking within 24 hours of treatment.

AFTER-CARE:
1. Avoid sunbathing or direct sun exposure on treated areas for 30-40 days during the healing phase.
2. Apply aftercare serums on treated areas 2-3 times per day with clean hands or gloves.
3. No working out or excessive sweating for 5 days. Try to minimize sweating as much as possible.
4. Stretch marks will appear darker—this is normal. Please do not panic. Full healing takes 3-6 weeks, and everyone heals at a different rate.
5. Avoid pools, jacuzzis, exfoliation, laser hair removal, or waxing on treated areas for 14 days.
6. Inkless clients: It’s best to do red light therapy every 3-5 days post-op for 25 minutes to enhance healing and reduce hyperpigmentation. Appointments are available in the studio or can be done at home.
7. Avoid using any self-tanning products for the first 30 days.
8. To reduce swelling, use cold packs for a few minutes on and off. (First night only)
9. Avoid sleeping on the treated area until swelling decreases.
10. Do not wash the treated area with scented soap. Antiseptic soap, such as Dial, is recommended.
11. Avoid showering with hot water for the first few days, as it may cause irritation.
12. Do not scrub, rub, or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. Allow it to flake off naturally. Premature removal may pull out the pigment. (Inkless clients may also experience peeling—this is normal; do not peel.)
13. If you experience an allergic reaction, contact your physician immediately.
14. Face clients: Avoid makeup on the skin for 48 hours following treatment. Hold off on your usual skincare routine for one week and use only gentle skincare and aftercare serums.
